The SGSA is dedicated to teaching the young women of Sterling, Massachusetts the fundamentals of softball— keeping in mind that the ideals of Good Sportsmanship, Courage, Honesty, Loyalty and Respect for Authority are of primary importance. To that end, the 2009 SGSA softball season will kick off with a pitching clinic and a batting clinic that will run Late-February thru April. .
2009 Update:
- The SGSA Board members would like to thank all those that volunteered to help out this year. Unfortunately we could not honor all the requests for coaching - we have nine teams and there were many that volunteered to coach or assist. The response to our plea for help was tremendous.
- There will be an umpire clinic Wednesday April 29th at the Griffin Road ball field at 6:00 pm. Coaches and anyone wishing to get involved helping out by umping our Minor division games are encouraged to attend.
- Opening Day is May 2nd - we should gather at the Little League Field somewhere between 11:00 am and 11:15 am - the parade will begin at 11:30 am with ceremonies and pictures to follow.
- We would like to thank our 2009 Sponsors and ask all of you to remember that they help contribute to recreational activities that directly benefit the children of your community.
